My Favorite Anime creator -Mr. Makoto Shinkai

The most beautiful fading-sakura scene (桜の散る光景)I have ever seen in motion pitures. Mr. Makoto Shinkai is one of my favorite anime producers. 彼がアニメで表現する自然は息をのむほど美しいのです。。。

The BIG Clutter-Cleaning Project of 2014

My BIG clutter cleaning (downsizing) project, started in July, still continues. I’m in the phase of actually tackling “things” but, surprisingly enough, this process has been serving more like a “mind-setting process” or “letting go” process. The clutter cleaning is more a psychological procedure, that’s what I am finding out.

In the mental space I have created through cleaning, a scary feeling has been growing day by day. SOMETHING IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RIGHT IN THIS WORLD. In the future, will my kids, our kids, have a happy and clean world to live in?  Unfortunately, I would say NO to this, my own question, UNLESS we , each of us, start thinking about this seriously.

Even if I live the average life expectancy of an Asian woman, I have just a couple of decades. I don’t think I will be full-functioning until the end. Then the time left for me may be (hopefully) less than, what, 25years? Less? A shockingly short time left for me….

I graduated from a busy mom’s life ( I’m still a mom, though).  I think it is time for me to start doing something for our kids’ beautiful and safe future.

The BIG Clutter-Cleaning Project of 2014 has been more than just clutter cleaning. I am glad that I have started this process.

Big Clutter Cleaning 2014 ( Downsizing Project)

I got some Bizen pottery when I was in my twenties for "special occasions". How many "special occasions" have I had since then?...Not many... From now on WE are the "special " and use them every day. These are all the dishes and cups I have in my kitchen after the big clutter cleaning (downsizing) project of 2014!

Digi- Sumi Kumi

Digital painting/ drawing is a totally new field to me and still so challenging. It is not an easy version of traditional art techniques. It will take a lot of practice. But I can do it at a cafe just bringing my iPad and a stylus pen. Not bringing a who

Sumie again!

I realize now that my father was the one who influenced me the most: what I have become, what I love, what I do for my hobbies. My father loved choral classic music and bought tons of records. I started singing with choirs when I was in hi...gh school and I still do. He enjoyed oil painting. I have been painting various media since I was 1 year old and i still do.

The artist side of me was a bit dormant until recently, but I would like to start again.

New moon on Queen Anne hill

December, night of the new moon, contemplating, meditating,
 the moon so close.
From this hill
I watch it wax and wane.
I change and evolve,
create and ascend
as the moon wax and wane.
.....and connect.

K+K's Stairway Walk #6 (West Seattle)

Pigeon Point stairs in West Seattle We started at Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail where the big dragonfly structure is ( looks a bit like one of the Miyazaki movie characters) .Then, in the woods, there i...s a very interesting bridge called “Salmon-Bone Bridge”. The trail continues through the quiet. The stairs go up from there to the Pigeon Point neighborhood. After walking up 274 steps, you can enjoy a unique and kind of cute neighborhood with a view.

K+K's Stairway Walk #5 (Golden Gardens Beach)

Golden Gardens Beach Stairs. Park the car at 85th street and the stairs go down through the woods to the beach. These stairs somehow remind me of a Japanese shrine visit. It was a holy and sacred feeling.... After you go down the stairs you can enjoy the beach. It was a gorgeous, sunny day. I found a pink bench on a dune and sat a little while. It was a bit like a fantasy – a contemporary short story-like feeling. After the challenging 272 steps up to the top, we had some good coffee at Café Fiore, situated at the stairs’ starting point.
