Big B-day!!!!

June 9th was my very big B-day !!!  I can't believe I'm...

I got a new profession this year which has been one of my hobbies and interests for a long time. I like to be a Therapist. Also, my youngest is graduating high school, which will change my life a lot. I think I have made a good start on the next half century of my life.

 I am so grateful to have a family and friends who always encourage me. Thank you very much!!

Misha Piatigorsky (piano)

Yesterday I happened to hear in my car Clapton's "Layla" arranged for jazz trio. Wow! Super cool! Who is this? I pulled over and started searching (crazy me??). I discovered this pianist on a sunny day in May by chance. Really my kind of pianist!! A percussive pianist with a sharp attack and sunny-day feeling!

Sakura Jazz / Flamingo ( Petrucciani + Grappelli)

It is becoming tradition for me to listen to this album on sunny days outdoors when sakura are in full bloom. I have been doing it every year since I got this CD, and I call it “sakura-jazz”. Petrucciani (piano) + Grappelli (violin) really have a sunny day feeling.

I sang really lively and beethovenly Beethoven’s “Halleluja” with my choir this morning and it gave me a lively and beethovenly feeling.Oh! I love to sing this song!!!
