Kumi-Awase means "interstices" or "overlapping" in Japanese and sounds very much like my name, Kumi.
This blog is the intersecting interests of... me!!
It is becoming tradition for me to listen to this album on sunny days outdoors when sakura are in full bloom. I have been doing it every year since I got this CD, and I call it “sakura-jazz”. Petrucciani (piano) + Grappelli (violin) really have a sunny day feeling.
I wander'd lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils, Beside the lake, beneath the trees Flutttering and dancing in the breeze.
